What is a vision-board?

A vision-board is a collage of images, pictures, and quotes that represent your dreams and desires. You strategically place it where you can see it every day, so it can inspire, motivate and remind you of the actions to take to make you dreams a reality.

The base for your vision-board can be a simple bristol-board, or perhaps a magnetic chalkboard or corkboard. Just choose something you will love to see in an open space;  this board needs to inspire you.

There are various types of vision-boards, for example, dream-boards, project-boards, or theme-boards. Whether your board  encompasses all areas of your life, concerns a specific project, or carries a particular theme, the idea is the same; to connect with your dreams and desires. These can be about your health and well-being, manifesting more money, or how you wish your upcoming wedding to look and feel like.  Or maybe, yours is a relationship-board for attracting your perfect partner. There really is no limit to the ways of creating a vision-board.

Who can create a vision-board?

Everyone, without exception, can create a vision-board. No need to be an artist, and no need to know ahead of time what you will create; this will divulge itself during our time together. Simply attend and I will guide you through the process. There are no rules, no right way or wrong way, just your way.

How does a vision board work?

After taking the time to choose the images and quotes or words that inspire you, and then fixing the images to your board, you will establish a deep connection with your dreams and desires. Our brain thinks in images, so the best way to inspire and motivate ourselves is through visual stimuli coupled with strong emotional connection. Although we use the law of attraction to manifest our desires, simply viewing your board is not enough. Taking the time to really enjoy your board is the first step, but you must also   profoundly feel what the board represents and take action towards your dreams and goals.

What is a vision-board workshop?

Depending on the size of the group, no larger than ten participants, the workshop of about three hours takes place at either at my home or in a rented space that’s cozy and conducive to creativity and sharing.

Once everyone is sitting with their materials laid out, and introductions have taken place, I will lead you on a guided meditation of 5-10 minutes to ground the group and  elevate the energy in our sacred space. No worries if you have never meditated before; guided meditations are easy. You will then peruse through the various magazines available, cutting out words, phrases and images that catch your attention.

The beauty in creating a vision-board in a group setting is the sharing and encouragement that others bring to the table, along with the networking opportunities. It is quite simply amazing how these types of workshops induce direction, hope, healing to get us started.
